BROKEN EGGS

Authentic Spanish restaurant, Fitzrovia, London

A neighbourhood restaurant inspired by the energy of Spanish food and culture, built from the ground up with a strong focus on warmth, community, and everyday ritual. The project brings together food, design, and hospitality in a way that feels intimate, playful, and deeply human.

I co-founded Broken Eggs alongside my brother, Gabriel Larraz. What began as a small delivery and events operation run from a dark kitchen evolved into our first permanent restaurant site, which opened in Fitzrovia in 2023.

From the outset, I worked across both the creative and operational sides of the business. Together, we built the restaurant from the ground up — developing the concept and brand identity, designing the interiors, creating the website, and establishing the operational systems needed to run the space day to day.

Our aim was to create something warm, informal, and deeply human: a restaurant shaped by the generosity and atmosphere of Spanish food culture rather than trend-driven hospitality.

I led recruitment and training, helped shape the guest experience and service style, and directed much of the visual identity of the business across design, photography, and social media.

Now in its third year, Broken Eggs has built a strong community of returning guests and continues to grow organically, alongside a presence at Canopy Market in King’s Cross and plans for a second site in the future.
