LUNDIES HOUSE

Luxury boutique hotel, Scottish Highlands

A remote Highland hotel shaped around the idea that simplicity, slowness, and connection to landscape can become a form of luxury. My work focused on bringing together hospitality, atmosphere, and operational design to create an experience that felt both deeply personal and rooted in place.

I joined Lundies House a year before opening, while the building was still an active construction site, to help shape the hotel’s concept, guest experience, and operational foundations ahead of launch.

Developed by Wildland Limited as their first hotel project, the vision for Lundies House was rooted in quiet luxury, nature, and a strong sense of place. During the final stages of the renovation, I worked closely across interiors, finishes, and atmosphere to ensure the space remained aligned with that original vision.

Alongside building the operational systems and recruiting the opening team, I developed the guest experience across dining, activities, and hospitality programming. This included creating seasonal experiences connected to the surrounding landscape — from guided hikes and off-grid dining to surfing, yoga, and local partnerships designed to deepen guests’ connection to the Highlands.

I also contributed to the hotel’s visual identity and communication, including guest materials, menus, brand direction, and exclusive-use events. Since opening, Lundies House has been recognised as one of the UK’s leading boutique hotels, with features in Condé Nast Traveler, The Times, and The Wall Street Journal.
